Thanks for your interest. As you know, books cost a great deal to produce. Our main purpose with this ministry is to help those who are Eastern Orthodox and to also help Young Christians (young in the Faith) who are serious about growing in their faith and their relationship with God.

Anything else that we do is extra. While we wish that we could take the time to fill smaller orders, we can no longer financially afford the costs of filling orders which total less than $ 200.00. We do continue to have an interest in Bible Versions. And we do receive visits and emails from people claiming to have an interest in this topic, but many of them do not seem to want to buy books on this topic. That is okay. But then there is little point in attempting to reach That segment of the Market. We might believe that others are selling the same books that we offer. But that is not the case, since others almost never offer the same materials & books that we offer for sale. The Books that we have are almost never offered on Amazon.com or places like that - these days. Our material is simply too rare. 

We will continue to add to our book selection for serious customers. But we have not sold enough of the books to recover our costs. We did not expect to recover our costs fast. However, the time that we devote to filling smaller book orders (under $ 100.00) keeps us from other ministry. We sell books far more as a benefit to the public - than as a means to enrich ourselves.

It is far more effective for us to work with the specialized book market, (concerning books), and STILL work with people through emails and articles posted on our website. We value people more than books. And after all, books are only a way to Help people. 

People SAY that they are interested in these topics, but they are not interested enough to buy. Maybe the material is too hard, and people are afraid to have to think a bit. 

Personal Depth is only achieved as a result of personal growth. It is true that there is a lot of Free material on the Internet about the Early Church. The problem is that most of that material has Roman Catholic origin, and is false information. But the internet is still very young, and it will take awhile for people to realize that most of the authentic information about the Early Church is NOT available on the Internet, and there are hundreds of Books that deal with these subjects, that will simply never be posted for Free on the Internet.

A great deal of material on the net which is related to Greek manuscripts and to the Early Church Fathers is wrong. The problem is that much of it was poorly translated, while in other cases, material was omitted from the Church Councils and the Church decrees, thereby implying something about the Doctrinal stance of the ECF (Early Church Fathers) which is simply not the case. But unless you can either read ancient Greek or unless you have access to original editions of the materials which are posted on the Internet, there is no way to verify the authenticity...of the information which is posted on the Net. (That was one of the reasons why we wanted to make these books available, since this gives people a place to start).

IF you take away the material which is Roman Catholic, and then also you take away the material on the Early Church that is the result of Philip Schaff (a Friend of Westcott & Hort), there is not much material left on the Internet on the topic of the Early Church Fathers. So there is far less Original materials on the Early Church Fathers than most people realize. 

In the meantime, those who are serious about wanting to learn and have the funds to do so, may continue to purchase books, so long as this is done in orders where the total amount of the order is at least $ 200.00. We will continue to add books to increase the selection.

We hope you will keep us in your prayers. We had hoped for churches to support this ministry. But most of them are too busy with new Church programs, even though we keep hearing from Pastors who are very concerned about the spiritual state of their congregations. 

The fact is that Churches continue to gravitate towards the Mystical and the Ceremonial. People hang onto whatever they have to, in order to FEEL helped. Many people mistake these things for authenticity, but Pastors often lack the education to know how to respond to the concerns of the Younger Generation. 

Most Pastors do not know nearly enough about the Early Church Fathers. They think that young people are Not interested. The fact is that most young people are VERY interested, and are looking for their roots, and for something worth believing. The Bible and Christianity provides those answers. 

Those pastors who do know some about Church History, have often taken their material directly from the Early Church Fathers collection from Eerdmans, which is really the work of Philip Schaff - (although the Eermans ECF Nicene & Anti-Nicene Fathers Set does NOT State this) - which is replete with many books that the True Early Church Fathers REJECTED.

But it is hard for Pastors to be able to give the answers to the younger generation, when they have not learned the answers themselves. Many pastors are emotionally much too fragile, and allow themselves to be intimidated by their own lack of knowledge. But NOT learning is not a solution, and not learning means allowing our own fears to control us, instead of our God-given vision or opportunity for ministry. In other words, some Pastors are putting their own fears, ahead of the interests of God. 

This situation is doubly tragic, (where applicable), because many of these pastors are now part of the Baby Boom generation. They are the ones who said that they would Never be afraid, and that they would Not loose touch with young People. But where that is the case that Pastors do connect with those who are younger, This will not happen by accident. Senior Pastors must reach out much more to the younger generations. But if Pastors do not believe that they have much to teach, would they have the Courage to lead and reach out ?

What did the Early Church believe ? How can this proven ? What was the impact of Tyndale not upon England, but upon Europe ? Where can a person find copies of the Church Bulls (that is their actual title) - the Papal Decrees - from times past ? Where can a person find an authentic list of the Real Popes that sat in the Chair at Rome, and not the EDITED list of Popes that the RCC usually promotes ? How Did the Early Church define the Eucharist ? Do the Catacombs have images of Jesus ? How early are those images ? What are the actual differences - line by line - between the Greek Text of Westcott & Hort, and the standard Greek Text of the Textus Receptus, which is the Authentic Greek Text which agrees with the manuscripts found around the world ? How can a person become strong spiritually ? People say that the Bible meets our spiritual needs, but how does this actually happen ?

Many evangelicals and College Students do NOT talk to their Pastors about these things. They come instead here (which is good). We are grateful for the help that we can offer, and we are happy to do this. We just wish that Pastors would invest more time by educating themselves. Church programs don't usually work, if there is no real content to them. And sheep-stealing programs (such as the Purpose Driven life) actually are having their "purpose" driven out of them, at the same time as their theological content.

You used to take book orders from people who would only order one or two books. Have you decided to stop working with the  “common people”, in favor of the rich ?

Not at all. Look at our website. Almost all of the information that we post is designed to put real & true information back into the hands of the people. Everything we do is geared towards trying to reach those who 1) are looking for truth and 2) who want a strong spiritual life.

But we receive on average – Thousands – of people who come to our site every month. There is no way that we can help everyone on the personal level that we want, because we just don’t have the staff. And while some people have volunteered to help us, most of them were too busy recovering from the shock of how much preparation it would take to help others.

Maybe you just are trying to get rich !

You don’t know how funny that comment is. Maybe you should come and try to be on this side of the screen. If we were trying to get rich, we would never be in ministry. We have many other ways that we could be rich, most of us have other things that we left, in order to do this ministry. If we wanted to get rich, We could promise people a false gospel of health and wealth. We could also promise people instant answers. Instead, we share with people that life can be a challenge, and that it takes time to learn to build up your spiritual strength, and that it takes effort to educate yourself. If we wanted to be rich, the first thing we would do is stop

Proclaiming truth.  Very few people who actually try and help others are well off. Just look at missionaries or social workers… We could also offer the books that we have, and have them hardbound, and then offer them as collectors items and charge about 5 times the prices that we currently charge.

And there are plenty of academic professors and others who would pay for those, but it would keep these books out of the hands of the public.  (and we may have to do that in the future in anycase). In face, professors and academics usually realize just how rare and special the books are, that we offer. But instead, for as long as we can, we offer the books that we do…to help people know and learn just what true Christianity is, and how distorted its presentation has become, by academics and many “Christian leaders”.  We have a good amount of people upset with us, because we are telling everyday Christians what is going on, and how too many of their “evangelical leaders” are planning or trying to sell them out.

So who do you sell to these days ?

Schools, Churches,  those who want to start a church library, and those who see the value of the books that we offer. We sell to whoever has the funds….

What about the smaller book orders ?

The world has changed a great deal in the past 24 months. It will change even more – and faster, in the Next 24 months. The laws are changing, society is changing, and ways of looking at the world are changing. If you want to truly learn about the Christian faith, or if you want to grow spiritually, then we are here for you.

But most people have not considered their own PACE of change. Maybe we need to ask ourselves, from a Spiritual Point of View, just where do we want to be, in 12 or 24 months from now ? Do you want to be spiritually equipped for the days and challenges ahead ?

So few people are truly willing to make any commitment, even to themselves, most of these people are simply deluding themselves. They are not really seeking true or deep spirituality. What they are seeking is the illusion that they are actually looking.

It’s about a 50/50. About 50% of people are truly looking for God and a real spiritual understanding, and about 50% are simply looking for amusement, entertainment or distraction. Well there are many websites out there that are very willing to feed you false information, and that will not back it up.

We offer books not only so that people today can learn about real Christianity, but also so that they can learn about other Christians – who lived before – and who really had strong spiritual lives.

But aren’t those old Christians – simply old and outdated ?

No, not at all. Didn’t they have difficult times 200 or 300 years ago ? Didn’t they have diseases sweeping their world ? Didn’t they have social chaos ? Didn’t they have institutional churches that were claiming to be true but only spiritually starving the people ?

They had ALL of those things. One of the ways to find out how to handle these difficult situations – is to find out How those earlier Christians were dealing with their own circumstances. If they were spiritually strong, and if they were well grounded, then they can offer some hope to us these days.

But what about the smaller book orders ?

For those who are truly poor, we usually try to see if we can work with them, if they can pay something. Sometimes, they can pay on an installment plan or we try to find other ways.

But the real challenge is that most people don’t really want to make any commitment to themselves. And many people are only use to watching TV. Learning to think can actually seem scary. But this is a time…when all of us have to learn to think…and learn to be far less confused.  Anyone who wants to pay us a salary so that we can sit down and teach or do things on an individual level is welcome to make the offer. But we want to work with those who are the most committed to truth and their own growth. Talk is easy. Investing in yourself and your own growth is something that many people are scared to do. But those same people would think nothing of making an additional payment for another car or another stereo, or another  5 or 10 CDs.

If you don’t wish to invest in yourself, and buy books to help you keep growing, that is up to you. Maybe you want to wait until the world becomes a more difficult place to live, before you are able to decide that growth and learning is important to you. But at some point, almost everyone realizes that our new circumstances are here to stay, and things are going to more difficult, before they become easier. Isn’t it better to learn to have spiritual strength, while you have the time to prepare ?

What if the reason why some people don’t buy your books, is that only a few are interesting, and the rest are boring  ?

That’s possible. After all, most people who don't want to think, find thinking to be "boring". But we are trying to reach the right people (those who want to learn and grow). If we simply wanted to have great books sales, we could easily change the books we offer. 

We try to reach many people with our book selection. But we are hoping for people to be blessed and helped – in their spirit and in their spiritual life – by the books that we offer. If all people want is their superficial “minute with Jesus”, there are plenty of books and authors that Already offer that. But God is a real being and one who wants our own good.

Many of us have trouble accepting this, and so it is easier to simply keep goofing off instead of taking God seriously. God knows who you are. If you take God seriously, then He will take you seriously also. God knows your heart.

So, if you find our books boring, either 1) you have not read them or 2) you do not understand how the lessons of those people can affect us and give us encouragement these days. 

And most of our books are not boring. All of the trends show that people are being drawn much more towards the Mystical side of spirituality. People want to have real experiences with God. We want the same thing for us and those people. The difference is that we want to make sure that those seeking this find the TRUE God and True Experiences, and don’t simply fall into wrong teachings. What each of us believes DOES matter. It will make the difference for you and the rest of your life (both your life on this planet and your life after this one).

There are many ways to make ourselves FEEL good. But there can be real consequences from following the Wrong spiritual path. We know – because we get frequent emails from people who explain to us how they did Not know HOW to truly find God, and they volunteered to accept and believe false teachings. Well, God gave us a 1500 page book…(the Bible) to teach us how to NOT be spiritually deceived. But many people are simply afraid or intimated to read it. So we help them where we can.  Those who know nothing about the Bible should simply start reading in the New Testament book of John and pray that God helps them to understand what they are reading. If they are truly seeking God, God will reach back out to them.

For those who really want to know about True Spiritual experiences, we will be selling biographies of others who achieved this. And we also offer books about the History of Doctrines…and ideas…so people can learn where some of these ideas originated. The fact is that we CAN know what history has to say about these subjects or concepts, if we know where to look.

We hope to play a small part in helping people know and learn where to look. So when people make enough of a commitment to learn about history or spiritual issues, the cost of the books is not really an issue. Most of those people don’t think twice about being willing to pay twice that much (and more) for college books, or that same amount for another suit.  

We will work with those who truly have financial issues, (send us an email). But most people –especially if you do NOT live in a Third World country, have the means to pay for whatever they want.

What do the books that you offer have to do with how society is changing ?

People either need Real spiritual growth, and deep spiritual roots – or they don’t. And either their own spiritual strength is Already sufficient – or they need to find ways and places where they can grow more. The more society changes and the more changes that take place, the more that people will need to find True Inner Peace, and a deep and profound inner peace.  If you can do this by saying a Mantra, then go right ahead. But for the rest of us, we need answers about God, Spirituality, and Christianity, on a deeper level.

We hope our books contribute to people finding that true inner strength and Inner Peace that only the Christian God offers, and only He can truly provide. God does give us time to prepare for the hard days ahead. Some will squander that time. Some will use their time wisely, to learn and reinforce their faith, and come to know God.
