Textus
Receptus
of Stephens (1550/1551)
- under the direction of F.H.A.
Scrivener [sometimes listed as the text of “Stephanos” or “Estienne”,
both of which mean Stephens]; This is simply the Greek Version of the New
Testament which underlies the King James Version
Stop
Using the UBS Catholic Greek New Testament Forgery !!!
Sometimes
known simply as the Textus Receptus, this is a reprint of the Greek New
Testament published by Stephens in 1550. Author biography: Stephens against the
ecclesiastical authorities of his day and risking his life, wanted to put the
sacred scriptures in the hands of the people.
The
first step towards this was a reliable greek edition which Bible scholars (such
as Luther & others) could draw on. Stephens published the Textus Receptus in
1550 in the earliest days of the Reformation. This edition includes includes the
various readings of Theodore Beza (de Beze), Elzevier/Elzevir, Lachmann,
Tregelles, and Tischendorf . The Main text of this New Testament is the Koine
Greek of Stephens (who is also known as Estienne, Robert Stephens, Stephanus,
etc).
This edition was published by in the UK in 1877. One of the Greek Texts used extensively during the reformation, by Calvin & others, this is one of the Greek Texts which remains as it was before Westcott & Hort made their revision. Scrivener was a close friend of Dean Burgon. Burgon and Scrivener did disagree on some of the works edited by Scrivener, but not this one. In fact, quite the opposite. Oxford Professor John Burgon (Dean Burgon) endorsed this edition of the Stephens text stating in one of his many works {specifically, in the Revision Revised}, that "Learned Readers can scarcely require to be told of the same learned scholar's Novum Testamentum - Textus Stephanici -1550", which this edition is. 600 Pages. Text in Koine Greek. Preface in Latin. A great gift for any student, professor or pastor. For the learned mind, and those who aspire to be. Available Now.

Even
the UBS Textual critic Kurt Aland in his 1982 book on Textual Criticism
recognized that this is the historical Koine Greek text used by the Christian
Church until 1904
This
Koine Greek New Testament is the Greek Edition of Elzevir, and one of two
editions to be known as the Textus Receptus [the Received Text] (the other being
Stephens 1550). This is one of the Books which launched the Reformation, when at
last learned men and leaders could see for themselves what the Bible said, and
how much this agreed or contravened what hierarchy of the State Churches were
teaching. This edition was published in the earlier days of the American
Republic, in Philadelphia in 1841.
If you always wanted to own the Textus Receptus, to know for a fact that you possess it and that it will not lay dormant or available only to ancient book collectors, or locked away in the rare & fragile book rooms of special libraries, this is your chance. A great gift for Pastors, Linguists, Seminary Students, and Bible Students. Author biography: The Author/Editor of this particular version of the Greek New Testament is Elzevier, who published this edition in 1624 in Leyden, the city in Holland where the Puritans had waited after escaping England to come on the Mayflower and found the Plymouth Colony in 1620.

(who
is John William Burgon)
Want
to know more about westcott & Hort, and how they worked ? Want to know where
they obtained their manuscripts from ? Want to know how they worked to influence
the committee on Bible Translation that produced the Revised Standard Version ?
Why have most Bible Publishers been afraid of this book for more than One Hundred Years ???
This
book documents all this and more. Written by Oxford Professor John William
Burgon, an eminent Scholar knowledgeable in Greek and Textual Criticism. A work
of enjoyment to those who love righteousness and truth. First published in 1883,
this Scholarly work was written by Oxford Professor John William Burgon,
sometimes known as Dean Burgon since he also held the position of Dean of
Chichester, one of the more renound parishes in the Church of England. Burgon
looked forward to the Revision process. However, when Burgon found that Westcott
and Hort were attempting to substitute Greek Texts not used by the church and
previously discarded as heresy, Burgon started documenting the corrupting
influence of Westcott and Hort. The result is this book.
IF
Westcott &
Hort cared about
Jesus Christ, then why did they spend so much time
disobeying
the Bible by trying to contact
the Dead in
Seances ?
This
work is devided primarily into three sections: 1. The New Greek Text 2. The New
English Version and 3. Westcott and Hort's New Textual theory. The time since
Westcott and Hort has not been kind to their work or their theories, although their
reputations have outlived their actual merit. Consistently, most
textual scholarship has upheld the accuracy of the Textus Receptus with each new
discovery of ancient Biblical texts. Find out why the work of Westcott and Hort
has been so important to the United Bible Societies UBS/Greek
N.T. editions, and what specifically are the facts about Westcott and Hort,
their Greek collations, and the actual scholarship of their work. Also included
are behind the scenes details about what happened amongst the translators of the
Revised Version. The RSV (Revised Standard Version) and its Greek Text [which is
the Greek Text of Westcott and Hort] also underlies the New American Standard
Bible, the New International Version, and the New King James. Available Now.
