The doctrine of the EOC and the doctrine of the RCC agree with each other in almost every respect. The EOC calls their leader "Patriarch" and they don’t worship him. However, the rest of the
similarities are far more significant in their commonality, than in anything which might separate them.
Both the EOC and the RCC deny that salvation by Faith alone in Christ Jesus (plus nothing) will save a person.

Both the EOC and the RCC pray to their "saints"
Both the EOC and the RCC teach that salvation comes only through their respective official Churches, because Jesus – through Peter established their Official churches.
Both the EOC and the RCC teach salvation through good works
Both the EOC and the RCC teach that it is impossible to have assurance of salvation before a person dies
Both the EOC and the RCC practice confession of sins to priests rather than to God through Jesus Christ
Both the EOC and the RCC teach that the initial basis to be considered for salvation is to be baptized for the remission of one’s sins...

Both of these forms of worship are considered
Idolatry, Biblically speaking
Both the EOC and the RCC will allow the priests of their respective church to join the denomination of the other.
Both of these churches say that they accept the first 6 Church Councils. But the first Church Council of Nicea fixed the books of the Bible at 66. However, both the RCC and the EOC have gone much farther and incorporated books into their Bibles that were Rejected by the 1st Church Council of Nicea in 325 A.D.
Therefore, the conclusion that either the RCC or the EOC respects the teachings of the first 6 Church Councils is false, since they do not even respect the teachings of the 1st Church Council, the Council of Nicea.
Both Churches say that they are in favor of people reading the Bible, but both of these denominations have done absolutely as much as possible to discourage everyone of their churchgoers from reading it or studying it.
Both of these churches commend themselves for promoting practices and rituals that are to be found nowhere in the Bible and nowhere in the Early Church. However, many of those practices are found in
