Prayer of the Seeker
God,
I sometimes pray to you in other ways. But today I want to come to you in the
name of your Son Jesus, and to ask that you would hear my prayer. I pray that
you would give me the courage and strength to pray this prayer
There are many spiritual voices out there that say that they are speaking for you. It is confusing. I pray and ask you Lord today to help me, to help me understand what is truth and what is not, and how to follow you and how to be faithful to You.
I pray that you would open my eyes spiritually and cause me to see and to know and understand how to follow you and the true path to you. I pray that if there is any action in my life or on my part that has caused me to be spiritually blinded, that you would forgive me of those actions. If I have taken part in activities that are contrary to your genuine teachings and your spiritual path for us, that you would help me to be able to identify those actions and to understand why and how they are wrong.
I pray that you would help me to be faithful to you each and every day and that you would increase my love of you and my devotion and my commitment to you. I pray that you would guide my steps and help me to have a love of your truth. I pray that you would open my spiritual understanding and give me spiritual discernment so that I would be able to know what to stay away from and what to learn. I pray that you would cause me to ask questions that will continue to lead me to you.
I pray that you would have a very real impact on my life, and that you would continue to teach me and remind me to stay on your spiritual path. I pray that I would not be diverted or misled. I pray that you would bring people into my life that would continue to guide me towards you and that you would help me to be able to learn through them as long as they follow you.
I pray that you would protect me from being spiritually deceived, though I know this means I have to actively walk towards you with your help. I pray that you would protect me from Spiritual forces of evil, and that you would continue to attune me more to you and your truth every day. Remind me of this prayer when you know I need it, and help me not to fail to find you.
I pray that you would continue to give me courage and that you would help me learn and know how to be able to have great spiritual strength, and your wisdom and your discernment. I pray that you would help me to avoid the wrong spiritual paths, or spiritual paths that would either mislead me or take me away from you.
I pray that you would do all these things that I have asked you to do, in the name of your Son Jesus Christ,
