Some have asked "what can I do to help, if I have a friend who is deeply involved in the Occult ?"
There are MANY things you can do, to help your friends who is/are involved in the occult.
Let’s review some of the basics before moving on:
The first is to realize that God is more powerful than Satan. That is not true because we believe it. But we believe it rather because it is true.
God is the all powerful Lord God of the Universe who created the world. God created the Universe apart and Outside of Himself. God is not "part" of the Universe, though it exists and continues to do so, because He wills it and gives it energy.
There is a permanent barrier between God who is the Creator, and what he has made, which "creation". We - as humans - are part of that creation.
Humans will never become God, nor Part of God, nor will they be merged into God. The essence of God and His creation (humans) are separate. The reason for this is because this is how God designed it. Some people object to this. They think that their "happiness" consist in trying to actually become God. That is a misconception. God knows how humans can find happiness much more than most humans know how to find it for themselves. That is why - in many cases, humans keep trying to find happiness, for almost all of their life. Listening to God, those same humans find happiness much faster. God knows how He designed us, so He knows what truly will make us happy or what will not.
Satan is a fallen angel, more accurately known as a "demon". Demons are fallen angels. Demons are those who used to be Angels and who were created to serve God. But when Satan rebelled, one third of the Angels followed him and were kicked out of Heaven when God kicked them out.
The goal of Satan is to lead people spiritually astray, and to take as many as he can with him, to his eternal destiny which is eternal existence but ALSO Eternal separation from God, and Eternal separation from everything and everyone else. As the saying goes, "forever" is a very long time.
The goal of the demonic beings that serve Satan is to assist him in his goal of leading mankind spiritually astray. In order to do this, Satan uses many tricks, and many lies and false promises.
Satan - though powerful is not omniscient nor all-powerful. Satan is not all powerful, Satan is not all knowing, and Satan cannot be in more than one place at a time. Demonic forces are subject to the limitations that God has placed on them.
Although Satan and his forces can do many things, they cannot possess Christians. A Christian cannot be simultaneously indwelt by the Holy Spirit and a demonic spirit.
The ultimate solution to a) demonic possession or b) demonic oppression is for a person to accept the God of the Universe and his Only Begotten Son who is Jesus Christ. When a person accepts to have Jesus Christ come into their life and to repent of their sins, the result is that the person becomes indwelt by the Holy Spirit.
Many people become involved with the occult as a joke or as a personal quest for answers that they do not fully understand. The Bible warns people to stay away from the occult and spiritual forces that are the enemies of God, because those forces will destroy the lives of those who work in their service. This is an inescapable fact - because destruction is the NATURE of those forces.
Just look up any book of conjuring and look at the names of the demons. They are evil and wicked names. Those demonic forces have designed their systems to ensnare humans. Most of the conjuring book make no secret of the fact that the powers and beings being summoned are Malefic, they are evil, they are destroyers, they will take control of the situation because they are spiritually much more powerful than humans. (That just shows how spiritually weak that humans truly are).
They are not so powerful though that they can change much. But their power extends to messing with the minds of humans, and playing tricks on those who interact with them. Long term exposure to demonic forces also produces physical side-effects, which manifest themselves in an accelerated breakdown of the physical body.
Their lie is that humans can be and become like, and act as God. Most humans naturally find this enticing. The Bible teaches NOT to believe their lies, first because humans do not become God, and second because their lies come with "side-effects" that screw up the lives of humans.
But our topic here is how to help your friend. The first step is to realize that in order to help someone who is involved in the occult, you are going to have to learn how to become spiritually very strong - to begin with.
It means that you are going to have to invest a good deal of time in learning how to become close to God. And obviously this advice only applies to those who are Christian or who are interested in becoming "saved". A person who is "saved" is a person who has achieved spiritual reconciliation with God. But being "saved" does not mean that a person has "arrived" spiritually.
In fact, what it actually means is that a person’s spiritual journey with God is only beginning (though the adventure is worth it, for those who are sincere.
A person who actively wants to help their friend get out of the occult must learn to have a great amount of willingness to follow God. In our natural state, none of us want to follow God, and even when we become a "Christian", there are days when it is hard to want to follow God.
Being a Christian is not about a long list of do’s and don’ts but is instead about learning how to have a relationship - a personal one - with the true one God of the Universe.
Developing that relationship takes time. Fighting a spiritual conflict is just like preparing for any other conflict: How a person prepares themselves largely determines the outcome or the results of that conflict.
(Please keep in mind that we are not pushing for conflict, and we are not in favor of "conflict". We are - however - in favor of helping others, and in favor of praying for others).
People not familiar with spiritual conflict imagine the science-fiction fights where one person conjures up one force which then fights with another force - which also has been conjured up.
That is simply science fiction. It is not real. Spiritual conflict is not like that at all. In fact, 90% of spiritual conflict involves the use of two strange tools:
1. the use of Prayer to God through and in the name of Jesus Christ, and
2. the use of PRAISE - specific prayers that are designed to give God credit, praise, and Glory for the work that He has accomplished and will accomplish in our lives and the lives of those we are praying for...and care about.
Many many people have been prayed for, and there has been great conflict - spiritually around them. And yet they have not been aware of it, nor have they been conscious of this. While God fights to persuade us to do right, Satan also fights to persuade us to do wrong.
God could simply win that battle right away. We know that He will win that Battle when God defeats Satan in the future. However, God wants us to make the choice to serve Him.
Many people look for God to convince them AGAINST their own will. But that is a misunderstanding of what God does and How He operates.
What God wants is for us to give ourselves willingly to serve Him. That is - sadly what Satan wants also. But God is Big enough that He knows that He provides the answers that if we are truly and sincerely looking for them, and if we cry out to God to ask Him for help and to find us, and to save us, and to make Himself known to us, God answers those prayers.
Want to see it happen ? Pray those prayers sincerely and watch it happen. Give it about a month or 6 weeks. Then report back to us what happens.
God wants us to make up our own minds about whether to serve Him or not. He not only wants us to do this when we decided to become Christians, (when we decide to become "saved"), God wants us to continue to make the decisions to serve Him, over and over, and in each one of the circumstances that are in our lives.
No one gets those choices "right" all the time. And it take times to learn what God wants and How God operates. But the good and encouraging news is that God works with us, even in the midst of our misunderstandings about Him, even in the midst of our misconceptions about Him.
It is comforting to know that we serve a God of Love. The only penalty for screwing up when you serve a God of Love, is that He KEEPS on loving us, He KEEPS on caring about us, and His love never quits.
That does not mean that we always FEEL as though this is the case. It takes time for our emotions to catch up sometimes - to what God is doing. But he does give us a 1500 page book of the experiences of other humans who have interacted with Him, so that we will have a better understanding of God and of How to relate to Him (that Book...is called the Bible)

So, Back to our topic of How to help someone who is in the Occult.
1. Understand that your commitment to your friend must be a long-term commitment. It is not likely that the situation is going to be solved by tomorrow.
2. Understand that your friend became involved in the occult because of answers that they were seeking to find. Whether they stay in the occult or not, they will STILL be looking for those answers. You can help them to find those answers.
3. The dangers of the occult can be understood - in some cases - on the natural human level. But in other ways, the dangers of the occult are often imperceptible to those who are involved in it.
The reason is that those spiritual forces which are destructive - have a "habituation" feature.
On a spiritual level, they have designed their agenda and packaged it to Acclimate (or acclimatize) those who volunteer themselves for the experience.
So while those people understand that they are dealing with dark forces, they may not understand just how dark those forces are. With thousands of years of experience in dealing with humans, most of those demonic forces quickly understand where a person’s threshold of tolerance for evil is. And slowly but steadily, they work to push that tolerance up and to help the occultist first develop a tolerance for spiritual darkness and later on an appetite for it.
4. Being in the Occult and involved with it is very much like drug use:
It follows the cycles of addiction on a Very deep level.
A person begins for the "high", but eventually keeps returning simply from a motive of avoiding the "low" moments. That matters very much because of the side-effects of the occult and of being involved in the pursuit of spiritual forces that are alien to God:
There is a "hollowing out" side effect. It is like being a prisoner of Azkaban in slow motion. It is not that the soul dies instantly (and the soul of humans does not suffer eternal death - until after they actually die).
Here is the unwritten rule of the occult: the more one participates in it, the emptier one begins to feel spiritually. Those who later on...go on to pursue much darker aspects of the occult and later Satanism do it...in order to numb 1. the personal pain and 2. the INNER EMPTINESS that results from a lifestyle of being in the occult. The more one eats from that table, the emptier one feels.
The emptier one feels, the more one Aches over that emptiness. People at first always think that this is nothing to speak of, nothing to worry about. By the time they understand the seriousness of the problems and the forces that they are involved with, the level of Emptiness and despair becomes very real, and later it can become all-consuming.
Being involved in the occult is not something which is inert or "Value-Neutral". Once it neutralizes your values, it begins to do other things to you as well.
5. For better or worse, a person remains involved in the occult because of the spiritual needs that they believe are being met. A person who is a Christian can help a person who is an occultist, by praying for them.
6. Involvement in the Occult can be broken. There is no occult society or occult relationship with a human that Jesus Christ cannot reclaim, if the person is willing to get out of the occult. God Hears the prayers of those who pray sincerely to find Him. Some occultists are tricked into falsely believing that once they make promises to the forces of evil or to demons that those promises cannot be broken. That is NOT true.
7. Anyone wishing to help another person who is involved in the occult must learn first to develop a strong, consistent and deep spiritual walk with God. This is not accomplished overnight. But God is always more in a hurry for us to get to know Him, than we are. Any Christian who wants to know God deeply can always make that choice. THAT is what God wants each of us to do. But in order to help someone get out of the occult, that kind of closeness to God is absolutely indispensable.
8. Some people will take this page as a joke, while others will understand its seriousness. God sees each of the hearts of those who read this. And nothing is hidden from God.

We know that this kind of situation is increasing in frequency and we expect this trend to continue. Remember though, although there are some who are involved in the occult, there are many who attempt to escape it and the emptiness it brings. 10. Just remember, God does not get involved in conflicts to lose. There are many battles in wars which are spiritual. The ebb and flow of these situations is determined in the long term, not the short term.

Heavenly Father,
I come to you today to talk with you about my friend _____________. I pray Lord In the name of Jesus Christ that you would give me the focus and the spiritual strength to pray this prayer. I am concerned and worried about ___ because of their involvement with the occult. Specifically Lord, I am talking about their involvement with _____.
I ask you Lord to help me know how to help ______. I ask that you would give me the spiritual strength and the courage that I need to minister and help ______ . I know and recognize Lord, that there is nothing that I can do by myself and that I do not have the spiritual power that can make the difference. But I know that you do.
I praise you Lord for your help and your goodness, and the way that you can work miracles in our lives, and the lives of those we love and care about. I thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross for me and my friend, and all those in the world who will come to know and accept you as Savior. I thank you for the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross, and for His death and His resurrection. I thank you that I know that each and every one of my sins is covered and remitted by the blood of Jesus and that there is nothing that can separate me from you and your love.
I pray that you would help me to realize this more, and I pray that you would help my friend ______ to know you and to find the answers that they are looking for, in a personal relationship with you. I pray that you would minister to their heart and to their unmet needs. I pray that you would save my friend ________. I pray that they would realize that you are the beginning and the end of all true spirituality and that each of us can have unconditional forgiveness through our relationship with you. I thank and praise you Lord that there is nothing that I can do on my own to earn the salvation that you offered, but only that I had to accept it. Thank you for giving me the grace to repent and ask your forgiveness of my sins and to give me eternal life.
Thank you for reminding me of the strength and the power of the awsome name of Jesus Christ, and to pray "in the name of Jesus Christ" - since this is the name above all names. I pray that my friend would come to properly understand You as God and Jesus Christ as the only and only Begotten Son of God, and NOT through the false teachings about Jesus being a magician or a gnostic. I pray that you would permanently open the eyes of my friend ______, and that if there is any sin(s) or obstacles in her life that would prevent her from seeing what ____ is involved in, that you would remove the obstacles in the name of Jesus Christ. I pray Lord according to your will, that you would remit all of the sins of my friend _______, and that you would help _______ to understand that only through Jesus Christ can ______ have a relationship with God and find their needs met.
Lord I pray that you would open the spiritual eyes of my friend _______ so that they would see the emptiness and the end consequences of where their occult spiritual path can take them. I pray that you would remove any spiritual blinders so that ______ would see and understand the true nature of the spiritual forces that ______ is potentially involved with. I know that as my friend understands what they are involved with, that _____ may feel great despair and hopelessness. I ask you Lord to send your comfort and your hope to my friend, only I pray that _____ would realize that this is coming from you, and not from any other source except you.
I pray that you would cause my friend to want to know you better and that you would clarify for my friend _______, how to find you and understand you. I pray that you would minister to my friend and help _____ through these times. I know this prayer is long Lord. I thank you that you have all the time in the world and that you are the God who transcends time and who stands outside of Time and that you are the same yesterday, today and forever.
I pray that where there are spiritual obstacles or reasons why demonic forces or occult spiritual forces have interfered or invaded the life of my friend _______ that you would reveal to me and to _____ what those reasons are. Cause those reasons to come to my mind and help ______ acknowledge them. I thank you for what you are going to do Lord.
I know and understand that this is a long term battle. I understand that I may have to pray this prayer many times. Please help me to be strong spiritually. Give me a desire to know you above all else, and to prioritize you above all else where I can. Help me to understand the obstacles to this in my own life. Help me not only to invest time in my relationship with you, but also to WANT to read the Bible and to Want to memorize portions of the New Testament and to become spiritually stronger. Only help me to retain and remember the lessons that I learn.
And I pray for me and my friend ______, that whatever lessons are learned or understood, that no force would be able to snatch the Biblical truth of what has been learned from me or my friend. I pray that you would increase my discernment greatly as well as my love for you. I pray that you would give me patience for those around me, for those I care about, and for my friend ______ as well.
I pray that you would remind me of the decisions and requests that I have made today. I pray that you would help me to be diligent and to understand that this is not only a result, but also a process. I pray that you would help me to understand the times we live in and that you would accelerate my preparation for them - spiritually. I pray that you would help me to see the daily decisions that I make through spiritual eyes. Help me to seek a place of spiritual fellowship that has great discernment and that truly will help me to continue to grow spiritually in my relationship with you.
Help me to take the time to read the books that you put on my heart and my mind. I know Lord, that my friend ______ will have many struggles and temptations. I know that _____ will also face pressure and difficulty not only from occult and spiritually demonic forces, but also from friends, who do not want her to make the right decision. I pray that you would cause them to either becomes saved and interested in a personal relationship with you, or cause them supernaturally to loose interest in my friend. I thank you Lord because I know that you are the King of King and Lord of Lords and that you have won the Battle. I pray that you would help and encourage me in this new chapter of my life.
In the name of Jesus Christ, and grateful for the shed blood of Christ and what His remission of all my sins accomplished once and for all on the cross through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, I ask all of these things in accordance with your will, Amen.

Do you believe that those who are encouraging their children to read Harry Potter, or those who are reading Harry Potter are actually learning about the occult, or getting in touch with demonic spirits ?
There is no question that the Harry Potter books are inspired and designed by those who have a deep familiarity with the occult and the occult perspective, worldview and practice.
Harry Potter is designed as a "foot in the door" approach to the occult. The subtlety of the occult and its methods will not be realized for several years by those who read the Harry Potter books. But it does set them on a path of discovery and curiosity that is clearly designed to introduce them to the occult.
The terms in the Harry Potter books are accurate occult terms.
The spells are accurate occult spells or modeled closely on them
The characterization of occult powers mirror those in the occult.
Some of the Harry Potter books are designed to be read on different levels. Those not involved with the occult on a real basis will Miss much of the meaning which is implied, and that their children will understand later on.
Though parents may not want to hear it, there is no question that the Harry Potter books are introducing their children to the occult and serve as a fun and seductive introduction to demonic spirits. Those parents who think that the devil would introduce himself automatically as a bloodthirsty tyrant, have greatly underestimated the sophistication of Satan, and of how he entices people. At the very least, BOTH the Parents and the Children who have been involved with Harry Potter should discontinue their reading and their use.
Parents should pray the Prayer of Renunciation and encourage their children to read through and pray this prayer as well. Those who are Not Sure whether to pray this prayer, should also definitely pray that prayer. IF you are in doubt, have the courage to talk to God about your doubt and to actually take care of this. All parents SAY that they love their children. Demonstrating this ...at times...is not always the easiest...though it is necessary.
Just because parents want to believe that nothing bad will happen as their children read the Harry Potter books, does not mean that nothing evil will happen. The first thing that will and does happen, is that both the parents and their children will Loose any spiritual discernment they may have. One good turn deserves another. The Harry Potter series become progressively more spiritually dark as well as beginning to reflect the standard real occult world, as the books progress. Spirituality is not inert. It is not Neutral. Nor is exposure to truth.
Either acceptance of what needs to be done follows, or a resistance to spiritual truth develops. Spiritual forces and our spiritual sides do not exist in a vacuum. Some parents and grandparents are too proud to admit that they made a mistake in helping their children/grandchildren read or learn Harry Potter.
What could be worse - especially in the eyes of God - that for the sake of the Pride of the parents, that their children should find themselves turned over to the spirits of the Occult ? God is not mocked. He makes the rules and we live by them. What we sow is what we reap.
