How Islamists treat the Eastern Orthodox Christians & Christians in the Middle East
THERE IS NOT ONE CHRISTIAN NATION ON EARTH WHERE MUSLIMS ARE PERSECUTED.
Yet in most nations where the majority of the population are Muslims, there is systematic government persecution of Christians.

Holy Land: Christians in Peril
Part I
Does the Palestinian Authority respect freedom of religion? Are Christian Holy sites protected from violence and desecration? Are Christians safe in the Holy Land?
The evidence says "No."
We are posting this because it contains video footage and interviews with the Orthodox Priests who direct the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem. We believe that this video serves a valid public service and should be seen by those interested in the Middle East and the Christian/Moslem dialogue.

Part 2 of this appears as though it it going to be a "repeat", but it is not. There are overlaping scenes (with Part 1), but Part 2 also contains an interview with the head of the "Egyptian Coptics of America" discussing what has been done to Coptics in the Middle East.
You have to decide whether or not you believe that these videos are worth your time or merit your consideration. They are not likely to be seen in many other places, since the politics of oil play a large role in global affairs - even if this is an indirect role.
The Trojan Horse Video is included because it shows Palestinians training children for combat. Ten Thousand children are thus militarized by going through these intense training camps - every year.
Please note that in the 3rd video ("trojan horse"), they refer to a location in Israel called al-Aqsa. That is a reference to what Christians know as the "Dome of the Rock" (which is an Islamic center these days), even though Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran. It is the place where the Temple of Israel used to be.

For the record, XOFC strongly condemns all actions of violence against all persons. We deplore all actions of violence against Orthodox communities (& their churches) around the world, in the same way that we deplore the oppression of other Christians around the world also. We can only wish that the Eastern Orthodox hierarchy would take a much more active role in promoting human rights for Non-Orthodox Christians around the world. But whether or not the EOC leaders take concrete steps in this direction, we will continue to do what we can, to speak out on behalf of all Christians who are oppressed, because extremists fear messages of love and kindness - and the personal spiritual freedom that Christianity brings.
We may disagree with aspects of the Orthodox leadership on certain matters. However, nothing would prevent us from expressing solidarity or support with the Orthodox community in matters of human rights, especially as there also appears to be a need for this.

Paul Marshall offers a useful summation of the evidence that Al-Qaeda targeted Christians, not Muslims, in Riyadh — and of the dangers of glossing over that evidence.
"The media," says Marshall, "seem to equate Arab with Muslim and, along with some in the administration, think that al Qaeda's war is against Americans and Westerners per se, rather than against all 'infidels,' a group al Qaeda defines idiosyncratically and expansively as anyone who is not a strictly observant Muslim. Both mistakes are compounded by reliance on the Saudis' distorted account of the attack.
"The November 8 bombing took place in a Lebanese Christian neighborhood of Riyadh, and of the seven publicly identified Lebanese victims, six were Christian. Lebanon's newspapers are replete with photographs of Maronite Catholic and Greek Orthodox victims. Daleel al Mojahid, an al Qaeda-linked webpage, praised the killing of 'non-Muslims.' The Middle East Media Research Institute quotes Abu Salma al Hijazi, reputed to be an al Qaeda commander, as saying that Saudi characterizations of the victims as Muslims were 'merely media deceit.'"
After all, the Prophet Muhammad says, "War is deceit"

Suffer the Children - Escape from Slavery
In 1986, Francis Bok, a Southern Sudanese Dinka, then age seven, was abducted by Muslims and spent the next ten years in slavery as a result of Islamist Sudan's ongoing government support for mass enslavement and genocide of Southern Sudanese Christians and animists. At 17 he escaped, and at 20 made his way to the U.S. where he has educated himself and authored the new book Escape from Slavery, giving voice to the enslaved Dinka masses, still suffering from Islamic raids in Southern Sudan.
