The Truth about the Kabbalah - Part II

Kabalah & Bible

How does the Kabalah compare to what the Bible teaches ?

Occultists have many different kinds of terminology, in order to differentiate who to inform and under what circumstances. Occultists may inform people of what they do, but it is rare when they use a “Christian” framework to describe their activity.

Take, for example the following sentence:

It was out of this eclectic mixture of Christianity, Hermeticism, Neoplatonism, Kabbalah and Renaissance humanism that Hermetic Kabbalah was born.

Most people have a hard time making a lot of sense out of this – because the terms are not defined. So let’s go back and define these. Almost all of these terms refer to sub-systems of theology/doctrine – within occultism.

Hermeticism – This is simply occult literature. It is often used to describe the occult literature that is based on the work of the ancient Hermes. Unsurprisingly, when one does a study of “Hermes”, he turns out to have many similar features to Satan. In fact, he is Satan.

However the work of the Hermes within occultism is supposedly based on the work of Hermes Trismegistus. [Thrice great Hermes]. There were works attributed to him that were thought by occultist to be very old, and to contain special magickal powers. We now know those manuscripts are middle age forgeries. But many occultists still use them and consider them valid for teaching about how to interact with the demonic realm.

Neo-platonism. This is a complicated system of philosophy that dates back to the time of Christ. It was favored by certain Gnostic and other occult groups. Today, the most direct descendent (or re-creator) of Neoplatonism is Theosophy (Blavatsky).

The Kabbalah is based on the Zohar- more on that momentarily.

Renaissance Humanism: while the term can have many different meanings, in this case it is speaking about Occultists roughly from the 1600s.

And out of this mixture of occultism and demon-seeking, the system of “Hermetic Kabbalah” was born. So the original statement was honest: the Kabbalah comes from a number of demonic sources – only they did not say so quite so plainly.

It sounds so much more innocent to say that one is studying “the Hermetic Sciences” than to say “ that person was opening themselves up to demon possession and trying to conjure up evil spirits”.

When a person is talking about Hermes or the “Hermetic Sciences”, almost always they are saying that they are serious students of the occult.

Leviticus 19:31   Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.

The Kabbalah is a system of demonic occultism that attempts to compel God to force Him to accomplish the will of man. No, that really is not a stretch, nor an overstatement.

It is ultimately based on the premise that humans can control spiritual forces based on the will of man.

The Kabbalah is based on a medieval manuscript known as the Zohar. This text – like most false teachings – claims to be a “clarification” of the “Actual” meaning of the Old Testament.  Any basic study of this text will demonstrate that it is filled with statements that contradict Old Testament teachings about most things, who God is, how God operates, whether God can be manipulated, whether we can manipulate God by magick incantations and formulas, fortunetelling, & divination, etc. All of these elements are present in the study & practice of Kabbalah.

The Kabbalah often claims to have numerological clues to deciphering the Old Testament. Most people today would recognize this simply as the “Bible codes”.

The study of the Kabbalah is the study of the Occult (in this case, Jewish occultism). It is first of all occultic because it claims to be another portion of the revealed Old Testament. It claims to be speaking for God. It is another gospel. It also claims to represent the hidden wisdom, that was “really” available to those who knew the secrets of the contact between God and the Israelites.

Christians who actually read the Zohar will recognize that it is clearly words written down under the inspiration of spiritual forces which are hostile to Christianity and the teachings of the Old Testament.

It was the Satanist Eliphas Levi who popularized the study of the Zohar in the 1800s.

Perhaps you have heard of the occult saying “As Above, So Below”. This comes from the belief that humans can Compel and force God to act as they wish. This belief does have

a source, and its source are the books of Eliphas Levi. It was Eliphas Levi who wanted to

bring Jewish occultism back to a wider audience. His books – through the study of the Zohar, through numerology, incantantions, rituals and formulas, all attempt to suggest that God and demons can be forced to be obedient to man,...if man will only repeat certain magick words or incantations in certain sequences.

The idea that a Demonic force would willingly submit to any human is untrue, and contradictory of Biblical teachings. The only one that Demons submit to is to Jesus Christ, and to the use of His name, by those who are truly Christians – and only in specific circumstances.

But to attempt to invoke and conjure demons for the purpose of controlling them is against the Bible, and against Christian doctrine. Advocates of the Zohar/Kabbalah

will tell you that they do not do these things, but that simply depends on which instructors of the Kabbalah one talks to. The real problem is that whether Kabbalah

actually teaches people how to OVERTLY contact demons is really not the point, since to study the Kabbalah as a spiritual source is to invite contact with the realm of the demonic, which is where the Zohar comes from.

To study the actual text of the demonic forces might be too much for people, especially if they Began by the study of this text. So, in order to “fix” this problem, an enormous number of books have sprung up - Around – these occult teachings, to introduce the readers first to the “concepts” before actually reading the demonic book directly for themselves at the outset.

In other words, the Zohar is the demonically inspired book, and the Kabbalah system are the many commentaries that swirl around the Zohar. When a person starts to study the Kabbalah, what they find is a philosophical system that promises many things, but often fails to identify its own sources. This leaves the student who is beginning the study of the Kabbalah more confused and mystified.

But the reason for this is deliberate rather than accidental. Occultists are supposed to be “initiated”, rather than overtly informed, and so the thinking is that the “secrets” of the Zohar should be grasped a bit at a time, to make sure that they are not too powerful for you – all at once.

This is a clever way to continue to make the curious more interested, and to ensnare them into this occult system of learning. And with the many names of the participants and their credentials (these days), it is easy to be taken in.

Much of the work on the Kabbalah focuses on the Tetragramaton, the “I AM that I AM” statement made by Jehovah, attempting to play on the fact that it was “unpronounceable”

because this was forbidden.

Whether or not it was forbidden earlier, the HOW of pronouncing the tetragramaton is lost today, in terms of being able to prove how it was originally pronounced by the original Hebrews. But the Kabbalah proposes not only to disclose this, but also to help us discover how God can be manipulated by those who seek to pronounce His name right.

Some people today want to place undue emphasis on the “name” of God, while not paying attention to his other commandments, and the Kabbalah is exactly that kind of system. The God of the Old Testament wants people to come to know Him through Jesus Christ, His sent messiah and not through the keeping of Old Testament mosaic law.

Still, the Kabbalah dispenses with Old Testament mosaic law,  and the actual keeping of it, by suggesting that the system of Kabbalah is the secret system of Hebrew spirituality

that was given to Moses, and passed down, which may now be available to you.

No, the truth is that it is the system of spirituality that departs from God and does explicitly against receiving spiritual information not given directly by Him.

The interesting thing about the Zohar is that it teaches a departure from the Old Testament, in the name of returning to the God of the Old Testament.

Since the 1850s, it has been popularized exclusively by one group: occultists who have been clear opponents of the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Most of the versions of the Kabbalah today come down to, or can be traced back to one of 4 Source:

Eliphas Levi

John Yarker

H.P. Blavatsky

A. E. Waite

They were essentially co-workers. Most of these people either worked together or explicitly referenced each other’s materials. The Theosophical Society (Blavatsky) referenced and recommended the work of Elilphas Levi since its founding in 1875.

It also published the Kabbalah. Eliphas Levi (already covered) used the Kabalah and pointed others towards it, in his studies on High Ritual Magick [which is black magick- which is what all magick is].

John Yarker was a high ranking Freemason, and a member of the Golden Dawn (popularized by Aleister Crowley), and several other occult societies. A.E. Waite was also a member of the Golden Dawn secret society, and an author on the Kabbalah.

Blavatsky used Levi’s material as a source for her books, and her society published the Kabbalah.

Almost all western English translations of the Kabbalah can be traced back to those sources. This has started to change, since some Jewish people have jumped on board to reclaim their own occult heritage. The first problem is that – obviously it is occult. The other obvious problem is that it is not their real heritage, but actually come from a medieval manuscript.

When one is blind to the source of true spirituality and actual connections to God, there are few limits where one can end up.

The Bible wisely counsels Christians to stay away from any spiritual force or source that is not part of the Christian Triune God. This is not to harm us, it is rather to prevent us from being deceived by the Kingdom of darkness. Those who walk with the Lord and are His Children have no business with the Kabbalah, and many Biblical Prohibitions exist against the Christian being involved in Occult activities.

(We are not talking about Christians who simply want to know Hebrew better. We are talking about Occultists who are seeking to use the name of God as a Magick formula to obtain their own wishes, totally independent of God, his Will, the Bible and Jesus Christ.

This may surprise some, but occultists have a long history of profaning sacred things by attempting to subvert them to their own ends and means. And this applies to the text of the Bible also.)

 =======

The system of Jewish Kabbalah was originally used to suggest that the Jews had a hidden gospel that was available to them which was not available to others. It is easy to understand this, since God had not been talking to them for a long time, by the time of the Middle ages. But the fact is that Jesus Christ is the Right Messiah, any attempt to do an end run around him to the contrary – nothwithstanding.

The people who claim to study Hebraic numerology and attempt to reconcile it to the Kabbalah – almost always – these days are also attempting to Reject Jesus Christ and his exclusive message of salvation through him. Not all that is Jewish is good, the Kabbalah being an example of this. And some of the information has to be rejected as false. An example of this is the Babylonian Talmud. Some of these teachings are supposed to be the oral teachings transmitted down – at the same time as the Old Testament mosaic law. Many jews today in fact accord the talmud a superior place to the Jewish Old Testament.

We need to continue to examine the claims of the Kabbalah and any other text according to the Bible. Gematria – almost always is something that falls under the category of what is occult and witchcraft, and is taught based on a system of numerology that is a counterfeit system.

But even if it were the real thing, that would only prove that Satan can distort things. I would prefer to try to stick to things that will encourage me to love God and the plain meaning of his Bible – which I have a hard enough time doing – than to learn systems of numbers that have a great chance of taking me away from the central message and solid theology of the words of the Bible.

Christian Conversions - According to the Bible - Can NEVER be forced.

Any Conversion to Christianity which would be "Forced" would NOT be recognized by God. It is in His True and KIND nature, that those who come to Him and choose to believe in Him, must come to Him OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL.

Don't Let anyone tell you that Christians support Forced Conversions.

That is False. True Christianity is NEVER forced.
