Question to XOFC: are you saying that the Council of Nicea had no legitimacy, because it was not summoned by a "central" church, but by the Roman Emperor instead ?

Answer:

No, we are suggesting that those independent Churches were - themselves - the basis for legitimacy of the local Churches and the Church leadership in those days. This just points to the fact that the lines of succession never came through the official Churches that the Roman Empire paid for, but rather through the teachings of the Bible to be taken literally, which is what the Early Church Councils did.
