Rapture Verses
I would greatly like to understand WHY PEOPLE BELIEVE IN THE RAPTURE since it
is sometimes a very touchy subject. However, what I believe and what anyone
believes on this topic has caused many arguments. God is going to do what He
wants. If there is a PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE there is one and if not then
not. I just wish someone. . . could explain the Rapture to me where it is
backed up by scripture.
Can you do this?
I Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that
we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not
prevent them which are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall
rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together
with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in
the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write
unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in
the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a
thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of
the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken
in the night.
8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith
and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to
obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

time for the study of the Word of God, and more time for the study of History
and the true history of the Christian Church, and to learn about how other
Christians in the past, actually learned to have and to gain GREAT and genuine spiritual
strength ? If no one reaches out to help prepare me for the coming
challenges, whose job is it STILL for me to be prepared to answer these

1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this say we unto you by the word
of the Lord, that we which live, and are remaining in the coming of the Lord,
shall not prevent them which sleep.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, and with the
voice of the Archangel and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall
rise first.
17 Then shall we which live and remain, be caught up with them also in the
clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore, comfort yourselves one another with these words.

5 Gij zijt allen kinderen des lichts, en kinderen des daags; wij zijn niet des
nachts, noch der duisternis.
6 Zo laat ons dan niet slapen, gelijk als de anderen, maar laat ons waken, en
nuchteren zijn.
7 Want die slapen, slapen des nachts, en die dronken zijn, zijn des nachts
dronken;
8 Maar wij, die des daags zijn, laat ons nuchteren zijn, aangedaan hebbende het
borstwapen des geloofs en der liefde, en tot een helm, de hoop der zaligheid.
9 Want God heeft ons niet gesteld tot toorn, maar tot verkrijging der
zaligheid, door onzen Heere Jezus Christus.

des HERRN, daß wir, die wir leben und übrig bleiben auf die Zukunft des HERRN,
werden denen nicht zuvorkommen, die da schlafen.
16 denn er selbst, der HERR, wird mit einem Feldgeschrei und der Stimme des
Erzengels und mit der Posaune Gottes herniederkommen vom Himmel, und die Toten
in Christo werden auferstehen zuerst.
17 Darnach wir, die wir leben und übrig bleiben, werden zugleich mit ihnen
hingerückt werden in den Wolken, dem HERRN entgegen in der Luft, und werden also
bei dem HERRN sein allezeit.
18 So tröstet euch nun mit diesen Worten untereinander.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 Von den Zeiten aber und Stunden, liebe Brüder, ist nicht
not euch zu schreiben;

6 So lasset uns nun nicht schlafen wie die andern, sondern lasset uns wachen
und nüchtern sein.
7 Denn die da schlafen, die schlafen des Nachts, und die da trunken sind, die
sind des Nachts trunken;
8 wir aber, die wir des Tages sind, sollen nüchtern sein, angetan mit dem
Panzer des Glaubens und der Liebe und mit dem Helm der Hoffnung zur Seligkeit.
9 Denn Gott hat uns nicht gesetzt zum Zorn, sondern die Seligkeit zu besitzen
durch unsern HERRN Jesus Christus,

Pánovým: My živí, kteří jsme tu ponecháni do příchodu Pána, jistě nepředejdeme
ty, kteří zemřeli,
16 protože za zvuku přikazujícího zvolání, hlasu archanděla a Boží polnice sám
Pán sestoupí z nebe a mrtví v Kristu vstanou nejdříve.
17 Potom my živí, kteří tu budeme ponecháni, budeme spolu s nimi uchváceni v
oblacích do vzduchu k setkání s Pánem. A tak už vždy budeme s Pánem.
18 Proto se těmito slovy navzájem povzbuzujte.
1 Thessalonians 5:1 O časech a obdobích, bratři, nepotřebujete, aby vám bylo
psáno.
2 Vždyť sami přesně víte, že Pánův den přijde jako zloděj v noci.
3 Když lidé budou říkat: `Pokoj a bezpečnost´, tehdy na ně znenadání přijde
zkáza jako porodní bolesti na těhotnou ženu, a jistě neuniknou.
4 Vy však, bratři, nejste ve tmě, aby vás ten den přepadl jako zloděj.
5 Neboť vy všichni jste synové světla a synové dne. Nepatříme noci ani tmě.
6 Proto tedy nespěme jako ti ostatní, nýbrž buďme bdělí a střízliví.
7 Vždyť ti, kdo spí, spí v noci, a ti, kdo se opíjejí, opíjejí se v noci.
8 My však, kteří patříme dni, buďme střízliví, oblečeni v pancíř víry a lásky a

říkáme podle slova Páně: My živí, kteří se dočkáme příchodu Páně, zesnulé
nepředejdeme.
16 Zazní povel, hlas archanděla a zvuk Boží polnice, sám Pán sestoupí z nebe, a
ti, kdo zemřeli v Kristu, vstanou nejdříve;
17 potom my živí, kteří se toho dočkáme, budeme spolu s
nimi uchváceni v oblacích vzhůru vstříc Pánu. A pak už navždy budeme s Pánem.
18 Těmito slovy se vzájemně potěšujte.

Do I - before God - have some responsibility to accept and act on the information in this passage from the New Testament ? Should I be making an effort to understand the End Times ?

If no one reaches out to help prepare me for the coming challenges, whose job is it STILL for me to be prepared to answer these challenges and questions ?
