Stigmata not emanating from the right Spiritual Source

1. If we are talking about statues

It is true – that the Protestant position would be that some of these events (many), where the statues bleed, are fake. However, some of them appear to be the result of direct demonic activity.

There would be no difference between a statue which is possessed, that the old pagans used to pray to...and praying to a statue of Mary or a "saint". Neither Mary nor saint has any power either to hear the prayer, nor to answer it, nor to intercede for anyone, Christian or not.

It is simply that by praying to the statues, that Glory and Honor are taken away from Jesus Christ, who happens to be alive, and is Not a statue and can actually hear the prayers of those who pray to Him – "in His name". That the statues bleed are the same kind of phenomena as when objects float during a seance (which is a demon picking them up): this is the result of the work of spiritual spirits which are Evil.

The Bible says for Everyone to pray to Jesus directly or to God the Father THROUGH Jesus Christ. There is no provision made for praying to or through anyone or anything else, and any attempt to do this is Blasphemy because it is the substitution of "Something else" for the Place and Position that Jesus Christ Himself...occupies and deserves.

If you are in a church or place where a statue is bleeding:

1. Leave the place immediately and do not come back

2. Pray to be delivered of any occult or demonic influence which was in that place

3. Pray that your eyes and mind will be opened ONLY to the truth that is in Jesus Christ and not to any counterfeit.

4. Pray that God would bless your life, your work and your ministry – as He directs you to follow Him.

2. If we are talking about people – stigmatics

The Details of Almost all cases demonstrate that these situations...are cases of people who have contact with 1) evil spirits 2) the demonic realm or 3) who have a strong occultic historic connection in their family [such as a close relative who was a medium]. People do not simply bleed for No reason.

Some of those people who are stigmatics, are both very religious and have a strong sense of Piety. But the Bible in fact condemns piety without authenticity. Jesus does not need anyone to have His wounds. That is because His Wounds are sufficient.

The Roman Catholic Church often focuses on the Suffering of Christ. We would not want to omit that. But the reason why His suffering matters is because of the Resurrection: Jesus Rose Again, so that His suffering would have meaning.

When Stigmatics become true Christians, they no longer bleed. It is an occult curse (even though it may be the result of an initial sincere human attempt at piety which went off-course). Sincerity is not the Test of authenticity. Rather TRUTH is the test of authenticity.

Jesus Sufferred, so that we do not have to. Stigmatics represent a living contradiction to this, which can turn the focus of people away from the Resurrection of Jesus.

It is not that the Suffering of Jesus matters: it is that it matters BECAUSE of His Resurrection, and his triumph over death and sin.
