Before you write to us about Israel

Dear friends,

Thank you for taking the time to consider contacting us. Its fine that you bring this to our attention. For the record, We do differentiate between 1) the people of Israel and 2) the government of Israel. We are aware that one is not automatically the other. And we also agree that to disagree with the government of Israel does not mean that someone is anti-Jewish.

If you have specific concerns that you would like to address, we would be willing to consider then and/or discuss them. But before you contact us, we would ask you to consider what we have written below. Part of our frustration - is that many people write to us, and express the 2% of thought that they have given to an issue. But when we write back, they are so unprepared for the response, that it seems that courage fails them, and those people simply don't want to talk about the issue, that they claimed was "so dear" to their heart.

You are welcome to write to us or comment on any issue. But we would like to see at least SOME of the questions & issues below...answered. We are not asking the questions rhetorically. We genuinely want your answers. On the other hand, if you do not have the answers, or if we have presented some Facts worth considering, then that may be a good thing also.

From our point of view, we believe that rule by representative government remains the preferable form of government.

You mention the Jewish persecution of Palestinians, but are you aware that Palestinians who are jewish citizens do have the right to vote in Israel ?

- So if things were fair, would Jews have the right to vote in Palestinian elections, if they were in “palestinian” territory ?

Are you aware that since 1993 (for over ten years), 95% of all Palestinians in Israel live under the direct control of the Palestinian Authority ?

Are you aware that the Palestinian Authority pays directly the salaries of more than 125,000 Palestinians, and it is these salaried employees who are the participants in the demonstrations against Israel ? Do you know that they are usually bused to the protests that are against Israel ?

Are you aware that Israel turns over more than 40 million dollars, every month to the Palestinian Authority, and that this means that these funds can be distributed by Arafat (and the P.A. ) as he sees fit ?

Are you aware that the Palestinian Authority has its own airport, and that Palestinians are able to come and go, from their territory to the rest of the world, even though they are often not able to enter Israel ?

Are you aware that more than 90% of those palestinians have passports from other countries, from Jordan, Egypt, Libya, and Saudi Arabia, and so they ALREADY legally have Another country of origin ?

Are you aware that - at this moment - ALREADY - the Palestinian Passport is recognized by most countries around the world, and that this includes their right to come to the U.S. (which they still have)   ?

Are you aware that their Refugee camps, are NOT run nor directed by Israel, but that those camps are run by the United Nations, and that they (the U.N.) has been in charge of those camps for more than 50 years ?

Are you aware that even though the U.N. calls the palestinian areas “camps”, that these places are actually cities, with concrete & buildings etc ?

Are you aware that since 9/11, that Israel has had more than 2000 attempted attacks ?

Are you aware that it is the American CIA under George Tenet - that sent trainers to train the police force of Arafat, a group of policemen 40,000 strong ?

Are you aware that it is the CIA that has trained many members of the P.A. staff in intelligence and covert action ?

From our point of view, what we tend to see is that Arafat and the P.A. have millions of dollars coming in, plenty of territory for their population, and we know that he receives more than 2 Billion dollars a year from the International Community.

In view of these demonstrable facts, We have trouble seeing where the real problem is with Israel. It does seem as though the Palestinians are persecuted, but it appears that their misery is a direct consequence of the personal ambition of Arafat, who tries to keep them both poor and jobless.

Further - this perception for us is reinforced, as we see that Christian churches and places of worship are closed in the Territories that Arafat controls, where he has instituded Islamic Sharia law. This does not foster democracy nor tolerance. And we are speaking both of Evangelical Christians and Eastern Orthodox Christians being arrested within the P.A, for the high crime of being a Christian.

If however, there are specific facts or concerns that you believe we are overlooking, please bring those to our attention. We are concerned about all people in the Middle East, regardless of their nationality or ethnic origin. However, many Americans & Europeans do not seem to be aware of many facts about the situation on the ground.

It is true we have put up many news reports about this situation in Israel. However, we did not do so, until we had investigated the situation for ourselves for many many months prior to that. And we did not take the word of the Israelis about the situation in the P.A. (Palestinian Authority). We take the word of the Palestinians on the ground [concerning the issue of how Christians are treated,

and how Arafat treats dissenters]. Our concerns about the P.A.  were documented by Amnesty International. Most Palestinians who dissent from Arafat are murdered, and we know of several of those cases, sadly.

Additionally, we are well aware that certain European nations have presented the situation in Israel, as though the problem were Israel, despite the fact that Arafat controls more than 95% of ALL Palestinians living in Israel and the West Bank ALREADY.

We are aware that the European Media does NOT disclose that many European Multinationals have contracts and agreements to receive funds for building the Palestinian State, and also for MANY many construction projects in Islamic Countries.

European citizens therefore are left with a very distorted impression of relations in the Middle East, and believe that they are speaking-up in favor of Palestinians - because this is what the European Media tells them. But really - they are only believing misinformation that will serve to profit the European Elites who have the Large corporations that currently conduct business with most Islamic governments, which continue to be brutally repressive, and continue to persecute and harrass Christians.

As we have said, you are welcome to write to us or comment on any issue. But we would like to see at least SOME of the questions & issues below...answered. We are not asking the questions rhetorically. We genuinely want your answers. On the other hand, if you do not have the answers, or if we have presented some Facts worth considering, then that may be a good thing also.

Sincerely

XOFC
