The Word and "Words"
Do Words matter ?
Do the words chosen in the modern versions matter ?
The spiritual authority of each Christian believer, is found in the Assertions of Jesus Christ - which are to be taken at face value, at his word, and to be believed. It is Not, that he was or is to be believed "according to the Doctrines of the Roman Catholic Hierarchy or the Eastern Orthodox Priests" - simply that He is to be believed, on his own word, and his own teachings - as found in his Word, the Bible.
Do "words" Matter ?
We were surprised to "learn" that the Bible will not be in Heaven. At least this is what one email stated to us.
Apparently God does not need the Bible nor use it in Heaven, so [theoretically] the Bible would not be in Heaven. However, that is not what the Bible itself states.
Despite what the email to us stated, the fact is that God cares very much about HIS WORD, and the Words in there - that represent Him.
There are verses where the Bible discusses the importance not only of Words, but of the "Right Words" used to convey His Truths.
If Jesus Christ did (and does) care about which words were used to communicate his message and his truths, then it seems that the Devil would have an interest in making sure those words were buried, omitted and discarded, and that other words would be substituted.
And whether or not this is taking place (in Greek and English) is what the debates about Bible Versions are about.
