XOFC: WHAT can you share about Benny Hinn ?
Benny Hinn and his theology has been discussed in several books. Some of them include:
Charisma Vs Charismania by Chuck Smith
Remember: you do not have to buy these books new. You can also now often find them used, at Amazon.com
Benny Hinn is also discussed on Bible answer man, where they play clips of his shows where he makes many heretical statements. We do not endorse "Bible Answer man" Radio program on everything, but we do agree with them on this specific issue (of Benny Hinn).
We believe that Benny Hinn is essentially a Roman catholic mystic occultist. What this means is Not that Benny Hinn is formally a Roman Catholic, but rather that his own theology is the same as many [or most] of the Roman Catholic Mystics that the Roman Catholic Church calls their "Saints".
We believe that most of his healings - in his case - are done through the power of Satan, and further believe that we have serious cause to doubt whether Benny Hinn knows Jesus Christ as His personal Lord and Savior. He claims to have inherited his prophetic mantle from Katherine Kuhlman, and she was a Roman Catholic Occultic Healer.
(or at least this is what she appears to have claimed to be. Whether the Roman Catholic Church ever formally endorsed her work or her meetings through the Catholic Charismatic Revival is not clear).
See Kuhlman at: http://www.solcon.nl/apgeelhoed/htmldoc/nb-kuhlman.cloud.htm
This can be a difficult issue to address for those who like Benny Hinn. After all, he is charismatic and can be interesting to watch. And he knows so many leaders. Based on Benny Hinn's Theology and Doctrines, we question whether most of the people who were healed during a Benny Hinn meeting were healed by the Holy Spirit.
IF those people were healed, but not by the Holy Spirit, the other possibility would be that they received healing through a demonic spirit, and have opened the door to their own spiritual deception.
In other words, this means that they may brought a spiritual curse on themselves for lack of spiritual discernment and volunteering to be either possessed or for not being discerning enough of the Spiritual source of the Healing which they were seeking.
Did those people who accepted to be healed by Benny Hinn - Test the Spirit(s) according to the Epistles of John ?
"1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
It is worth noting – as is the case in other instances of occult healing, that when a person previously "healed" was healed because of occult or demonic forces, the original disease or condition often returns, when that person accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and turns the sovereignty of their body & physical condition over to the Lord, as they have done with their heart.
Many Theological & Doctrinal Problems with Benny Hinn have been written about.

"If Hinn were seriously concerned for truth, as he now claims to be, he would recall his tapes and books that presented false teachings he says he no longer believes. Instead, they are still being sold. In fact, his "repentance" is deficient because it fails to admit the gravity of his error. "I never taught heresy," Hinn insists. "I admit I taught some things that were aberrant ... but I think heresy is too strong a word." "
Actually, Hinn has taught much heresy.

What about the "miracles" done by Benny Hinn? Are they of God?
The Bible does not teach that the Holy Spirit will heal through a person who does not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God come in the Flesh or who is not saved. Unsaved persons can themselves be healed through a true Christian in some cases, but we do not believe that an unsaved person (that is - a person who personally rejects the actual words and teachings of Jesus Christ) - can act as a conduit for the Healing power of the Holy Spirit. Further, the Bible does Not teach that a person who is demon possessed can heal – through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
However we do know, that occultists &
shamans (for example) can heal...through the power of being demonically
possessed.
Satan can dispense the gift (curse) of his
Healing to whoever he chooses. One of those persons appears to have been
Katherine Kuhlman and another one of these is Benny Hinn.
[and if someone has direct evidence of Katherin Kuhlman claiming to accept Salvation by Faith Alone through the Exclusive Work of Jesus Christ, plus No Works - we would appreciate your bringing it to our attention...as this is Not our conclusion]
We believe that the combination of these Four things:
1) a false knowledge of God along with
2) claims to exclusive visions/hallucinations of God and/or Angelic beings - along with
3) wrong theology and
4) serious basic misunderstandings of BASIC Bible Doctrines,
those factors combined with either a claim or the fact of being able to heal ...amount to a serious question of whether or not that person is demon possessed.
If Christians would learn how to Test the Spirit of those who are healing them, then they would not have the problem of being willing to potentially be healed and/or have hands laid on them when they have NOT tested the Spirit that is operating within a person who claims to have the gift of healing.
But since many charismatic groups have no means of spiritual discernment (through lack of teaching in this area), we believe that demonic spirits operate in their midst - in healing services or at healing moments - at the same time as the Holy Spirit [is operating in another person there who truly is saved], and whether you are healed by either God or a demonic entity ...is pretty much the luck of the draw - at many of those meetings.
Having visited several churches where healing was taking place, it was very clear that the methods used to "heal" were not in accordance with the teachings of the Bible.
One of the interesting things that almost is never talked about is the Healing cults of the Roman and Greek Gods, and their own speaking in tongues (which used to happen to the Greek Oracles who then prophesied).
The Devil has many ways of counterfeiting the work of God. There are several standard Christian Authors that provide both personal experiences as well as theological explanations for the World of the Occult and how to respond to it - Biblically. The works of J. Michaelson, Kurt Koch (more than 25 books) on the occult can be very helpful in matters of spiritual discernment, as well as the books by Marc Bubec "The Adversary" and "Overcoming the Adversary". Those books address both the experiential side and the doctrinal side of discernment concerning the demonic, and in this world, we really need this kind of information.
Our focus should be on the Lord Jesus Christ, and right theology. But more and more, it seem necessary to know what to stay away from, and how to increase our own discernment.
We pray that discernment - and the desire to for Spiritual Discernment - would increase, as we believe that it is needed for these coming days.

Are you anti-Charismatic ?
No, not at all. What we are against - is the growing list of false teachers who are masquerading as "Charismatic" when really all they are is Anti-Biblical. These books - listed above - help provide the Biblical basis for discernment and the documentation, so that you can make up your own mind.
Want to hear from a Repentent Pentecostal Ministry who preach for Truth and against WOF ?
(We are not suggesting that we agree with them 100%, but having said that, they are more scripturally sound than 90% of Charismatic ministries today. Sadly, many Charismatic ministries have left the teachings of the Bible and embraced their own illusions of their "Revelation" - Their Personal Word which they falsely believe SUPERCEDES and REPLACES the Bible.)

Fans of "Faith" indulge in bizarre superstitions
Bhagwanpur (UP), Mar 26 (ANI): Like every year, hundreds of devotees are congregating at Devi Temple in Bhagwanpur, a remote town in Uttar Pradesh, to participate in bizarre religious practices on the occasion of the Hindu festival of "Navratras".
Banging and swaying their heads, or just lying about semi-conscious, these people resort to black magic and prayers to cure diseases. Proponents of the practice believe that it is faith in the God, and not mere superstition that attracts hundreds to the temple.
