HISTORY OF THE WAHABIS

BY BURCKHARDT

Find out about the History of the Wahaby sect within Islam and find out why they decided that those who disagree with them should not have the right to live. This book explains and documents why Islamic fundamentalists decided to make war on the rest of the world, instead of the Christian methods of peaceful persuasion using intellectual & rational discussions.

This Book also reveals the origins of the Ibn Saud/Saoud Family and their 200 year alliance with the Wahabi sect of fundamentalist Islam, despite recent official pronouncements suggesting otherwise. It is one of the very few in depth explanations of Wahabi Islam that was written by an eyewitness to the formative events, back in the early 1800s.

Topic includes Saoud’s person and family, Wababi Government, Administration of Justice, Revenues, Military Affairs of the Wahabis, Ghaleb the Sherif of Mecca, the Turkish Pasha of Baghdad war with the Wahábis, The holy cities of Mecca and Medinah, taken by the Wahábis

Tousoun Pasha, with a Turkish army to invades Arabia, Medinah taken by the turks, the surrender of MeccaThe Begoum Arabs headed by a woman, regarded as a sorceress by the Turks, who are defeated at Taraba

—Death of Saoud—His son - Abdullah, declared chief of the Wahábis.

Distribution of the Turkish forces—Massacre at Bahra—Mohammed AIy sends his son Tousoun Pasha to MMinah—The Turks detested by the Wahábis in Zohrán— Mohamed Aly marches from Mecca — The Wahábis defeated there . .

Turks elated with victory—their cruelty—their distresses on the march from Beishe—Mohammed Aly returns to Mecca—Makes proposals of peace to Abdallah

Ibn Saoud . .

Abdullah Ibn Saoud (ancestor to the Saud family which rules Saudi Arabia today) enters Kasym with an army—Negotiations between him and Tousoun Pasha—"Peace" concluded —Mohammed: My returns to Cairo— Dispatches his son, Ibrah’im Pasha, with an army to renew the war in Hedjaz, etc

This book is a rare eye-opener to the hidden and secret world of Islam, and the succesful struggles of the Wahabys to take over Islam.

THE ORIGINAL SOURCES OF THE KORAN

By

Rev. St.Clair Tisdall (M.A, D.D) for SPCK

Author of "The Religion of the Crescent" and several other works on

Islam

"A shorter work of mine on the same subject appeared in Persian in 1900, under the title of 1cibf~u’l Iglcim. It was very favourably reviewed by that veteran scholar Sir William K Muir, to whom all students of Islam are so much indebted for his able works on the history of Muhammed (the Prophet Mohamed) and his successors, and has since been translated into Urdu and Arabic. Sir W. Muir has also published an English epitome of the little book. The present work is the result of further study, and has been written at the invitation of many friends, who wished to have the whole matter treated from an English standpoint, which was undesirable when I first dealt with the subject in an Eastern tongue and therefore from an Oriental point of view."

THE work which is now offered to the student of Comparative Religion is the result of many years study of various Oriental Religions ancient and modern.  An investigation of the sources from which Islam has sprung would be valueless, unless based upon a thorough personal study of the various ancient records quoted. This I can honestly claim to have undertaken

Contents include: Preface, Introduction, INFLUENCE OF ANCIENT ARABIAN BELIEFS AND PRACTICES, INFLUENCE OF SABIAN AND JEWISH IDEAS AND PRACTICES, INFLUENCE OF CHRISTIANITY AND CHRISTIAN APOCRYPHAL BOOKS ON THE KORAN, ZOROASTRIAN ELEMENTS IN THE QUR’AN AND TRADITIONS OF ISLAM, THE IMPACT OF THE REFORMERS ON ISLAM, CONCLUSIONS, & Index

ISLAM - News Stories

"For a long time, Muslim American organizations have been allowed to get away with all kinds of hate speech against the U.S., against Jews, against Christians - all forms of anti-Semitism - and somehow it's been accommodated within the whole program of multiculturalism," American Muslim scholar Ahmed al-Rahim told a forum at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington this week. The politics of these American Muslim organizations promulgates a Wahhabi political agenda, he said. Al-Rahim is a founding member of the American Islamic Congress, an organization formed after 9/11 in the belief that American Muslims should take the lead in rejecting Muslim extremism and promoting democracy in the Muslim world. Al-Rahim said many American Muslims are afraid to condemn violence and hate speech. "One of our board members (Tarek Masoud) published an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on Sept. 14 (2001), basically apologizing to America for what had happened." Masoud received no fewer than 20 death threats. (UPI)

=======

The 24,000-strong Saudi royal family has finally conceded that the root cause of Islamist terrorism has been its own Wahhabi ideology. Following the al-Qaeda bombings in Riyadh on May 12 that killed 35, including eight Americans, Saudi security and intelligence organizations reported that almost 1,000 Saudi clerics are either linked to, or in sympathy with, al-Qaeda. They have been fired or banned from addressing worshippers after Friday prayers. Crown Prince Abdullah has issued new regulations prohibiting any reference to jihad, or holy war, in radio and television broadcasts.

The Saudi clergy has sent Wahhabi clerics as missionaries all over the world to build mosques and set up madrassas (Koranic schools that teach only religion, to the exclusion of all other disciplines). There are about 2,000 mosques in the U.S., most of them started by Wahhabi clerics.

Following the withdrawal of Soviet forces from Afghanistan in February 1989, the Saudi Wahhabis lavished some $300 million a year on building a network of several thousand madrassas in Pakistan, whose graduates went on to Afghanistan for training in al-Qaeda's camps.

The University for the Education of Truth, a leading madrassa in Khattak near Peshawar, graduated nine out of Taliban's top 10 leaders. With a student body of 2,500, the institution is fully funded by the Saudi clergy and wealthy Saudis.
